Evening of Healing When:  Tue, 16 Jan 2018 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Location:  Kendall High School

Please join us at Kendall Junior/Senior High School on Tuesday, January 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM, as we come together in conversation as we support one another in our efforts to learn positive ways to cope with sudden, traumatic loss and to foster resiliency and mental wellness.

We will be hosting a table discussion where participants can gain knowledge of local resources to support and understand those who may be struggling with the sudden and traumatic loss of a loved one.  Discussion will address mental health issues and touch upon loss from suicide and unexpected loss, such as from accidents or unforeseen health issues.

The goal is to promote healing, wellness, and resiliency.  Education on how to support oneself or others who may be struggling with the challenges associated with the sudden loss of a loved one or mental health issues will be part of this event.  There will be a panel of experts engaging in conversations of healing, support, education, hope, and recovery.  An opportunity will exist before and after the panel presentation for people to visit and familiarize themselves with available resources.

This event is a collaborative effort between state, local community leaders, and the Kendall School District to promote safety and wellness.  Pre-registration is preferred but not required.  To Pre-register, please contact the Kendall Central School District Office at 659-2741 or e-mail your intent to webmaster@kendallschools.org.  This event is appropriate for ages 12 to adult.  Childcare will be available on site.   Refreshments will be served!
